Roquois Performs LIVE at the National Independence Day Parade in Washington D.C.

First it was the National Cherry Blossom Festival and then I received an invite to perform at the National Independence Day Parade! I am so grateful to have been invited for this opportunity. When I was told that I would be placed with a float to perform on during the parade I just knew I would be blessed with an amazing float and I was! I got to ride the statue if liberty float alongside Abe Lincoln and George Washington themselves! (See pics below)

I thought the 90° day would slow me down or completely exhaust me but music is what I love and my adrenaline kicked in and I was laughing, waving, singing and interacting with the crowd in directly sunlight throught the entire parade!

I got to perform at the preshow and then during the parade. I’ll admit, nerves kicked in during my pre show performance hearing the announcer read my bio and reminding me of some of the amazing things I have done. I can’t believe I got nervous from hearing about myself and it threw me off my game a bit and affected my preshow performance. However I snapped out of it and had to thank God for blessing me with so much, as its been a rough past few years lol, and totally impressed myself during my second performance during the actual parade.

DC has been good to me and Im excited to see whats next on this magical music journey.
